Lead Veterinary Technician

Michelle

Lead Veterinary Technician

Michelle is our lead technician, who sports a Certified Veterinary Technician degree from Joliet Junior College. Michelle has been in the veterinary world for over fifteen years and takes pride in being able to help both our clients and her coworkers with her knowledge.

“...being around animals all day makes my life happier,” she says of working at 4 Paws Pet Clinic.

Michelle assists in surgeries, performs dental duties and helps teach our clients about their animal friends, from cats and dogs to more uncommon pets. She spends her spare time outdoors with her family and her dog Talley. Michelle enjoys kayaking, hiking, fishing, gardening, and sand volleyball whenever she gets the chance.

Ashley

Certified Veterinary Technician

Ashley joined our team in May of 2022 as a full-time veterinary technician. She has 11 years of experience as a Certified Veterinary Technician, with four years of those years at an emergency clinic. Some of her job responsibilities as a vet tech include administering vaccinations and oral medications, performing surgery induction, prepping and monitoring patients for surgery, dental prophylaxis, physical exams, obtaining vitals, and running in-house diagnostics.

“Though I’ve just started here, everyone is very welcoming and helpful. Everyone works well together.”

Ashley has an eight-year-old Shih Tzu named Zuko and a Veiltail betta fish named Roku.

When she’s not working, Ashley loves spending time outside enjoying the sunshine and walking the trails near her home with her dog Zuko.

Becky

Certified Veterinary Technician

Known for her great sense of humor and tall-ness, Becky has been with us since July of 2022 monitoring anesthesia, administering medication, venipuncture, and conducting physical exams. Her favorite part of the job as a veterinary technician is seeing the puppies grow up and drawing blood. She has 12 years of prior animal-related experience and holds an Associate Degree of Veterinary Technology.

“I love the calm atmosphere. Everyone works together. Patient care is exceptional.”

Becky has an eight-year-old Mastiff/Boxer named Yeti and a four-year-old Pitbull mix named Samus.

In her free time, Becky loves playing with her one-year-old daughter. She and her husband also love to take their daughter on walks. Becky also enjoys baking as well as kayaking with her friend.

Alexis

Certified Veterinary Technician

Alexis has an associate degree in science and has officially received her veterinary technology certification in January 2024. She has deep compassion for animal care and has a sharp attention to detail as she takes care of your pets’ day-to-day, including, but not limited to, surgery patients.

“I love working at this clinic because it has allowed me to make friendly personal connections with not only clients but their fur babies. I also love the family feelings I have with my coworkers.”

Alexis has been making sure we have everything we need ready to serve you for over a year. Her favorite part of the job is being there for your pets during and after surgery, to make sure any issues that may arise are caught immediately so our skilled team can best manage them.

Alexis spends her spare time with her family, her partner, and her pets! She has a dog Remi, and her many goats which she shows, raises, and sells.

Veterinary Assistant

Working with us full-time since January, Nicole is a personable member of our team who assists with surgeries, appointments, and other maintenance tasks around the clinic as needed. With a Biology degree from the University of Detroit Mercy, she also plans on going to vet school in the future.

“Everybody is so friendly and kind (clients and staff). Everyday there is something new, and I genuinely look forward to coming to work every day. Helping animals feel their best always makes me happy.”

Alexis has been making sure we have everything we need ready to serve you for over a year. Her favorite part of the job is being there for your pets during and after surgery, to make sure any issues that may arise are caught immediately so our skilled team can best manage them.

Nicole has George, a two-year-old cat, goats and sheep, and many barn cats. When she’s not working, she loves doing crafts, reading, and taking care of her animals in the barn.

Sara

Veterinary Assistant

As our veterinary assistant, Sara is crucial as she assists in surgeries, administers vaccines, completes physical exams, runs the in-house diagnostics, and more. She thoroughly enjoys educating clients with information about their animals and the veterinary field, as well as bonding with our amazing clients and their wonderful animals.

Sara has an associate degree in applied science from Joliet Junior College and is currently in the Veterinary Medical Technology Program.

“Everyone is so friendly and helpful,” Sara says. “Every day, there is something new to learn and do. At the end of the day, we’re all here for the same reason – to help all the animals.”

At home, Sara has a total of 11 animals! They are Shadow, her 12-year-old German Shepard mix; Baxter and Bentley, three-year-old Lab/Pit mixes; Archie, Louie, and Annie, three-year-old domestic shorthair cats; Cleo and Chloe, two-year-old domestic shorthair cats; Callie, a four-year-old Calico; Gizmo, a two-year-old Snowshoe; and Rico, her five-year-old Rex rabbit. In her free time, she enjoys being indoors with all her animals with a blanket, snacks on the couch, and watching Netflix.

Amanda

Office Manager

Amanda has seventeen years in the industry and loves working with both her coworkers and animals each day. Amanda runs the office side of things, maintaining important inventory, running reports, and helping our staff wherever it's needed.

“The work atmosphere is amazing and fun. Dr. Fedrow is a wonderful doctor to work for. All my coworkers are great also.”

Amanda has one pet dog, a chocolate lab named Kevin who she adores. Having worked as both a receptionist and a veterinary assistant making her uniquely qualified to handle a variety of different obstacles. Amanda spends her spare time with her children, watching her eldest play sports.

Lisa is a warm face on the frontlines, greeting our patients at the door. With a bachelor’s in teaching, health, and physical education and a master's from Governors State University in Educational Administration.

Becca is always willing to learn new things, making her a dynamic part of our team since February of 2022. Her everyday duties include greeting clients, scheduling appointments, and updating client/patient information. Becca’s favorite parts of the job are bonding with clients and watching patients as they grow through all stages of life.

“I’ve always loved working with animals. Vet med is intriguing to me, and I love always learning something new.”

Becca has a retriever mix named Tanner, a German shepherd puppy named Thea and a cat named Harper. When she’s not working, she loves playing with her little boy, visiting zoos with him, and baking.

Elisha

Receptionist / Vet Tech

Elisha is a passionate member of our team who strives to expand her knowledge as much as possible. She’s been with us full-time since March of 2022. Her job responsibilities include answering phones, scheduling appointments, checking emails, checking clients in and out, and shadowing in treatment rooms.

“So far, the teamwork I’ve seen at this clinic is above and beyond what I’ve experienced before. I’ve learned a lot in my short time here that will benefit me in the future and while I’m in school.”

Elish has two dogs named Parker and Asher. She also has three cats named Ellie, Barney Stintson, and Ted Mosby. She also has one hamster named Echo.

During her free time, she loves photography and is considering end-of-life photography for people and their pets. She also loves photographing her fiancé's band and the therapeutic art of baking.
